POSITION PURPOSE - The Customer Service Representative s role is to provide quality professional phone service that consistently meets or exceeds the Home Depot Direct standards of excellence in special order fulfillment. The CSR must take initiative to proactively provide all necessary information to exceed customer expectations and to develop the knowledge and skills needed to provide knock your socks off service. Individuals must have a knack for problem solving, the ability to juggle multiple tasks and demands for time, and the skills to produce precise and accurate work.. CSR s must possess the talent needed to satisfy our most demanding customers while maintaining a positive attitude and being supportive of Home Depot Direct.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES - Answering inbound calls from customers, quickly assessing their needs and proactively providing solutions, providing product and service knowledge to customers and relationship-building to help drive repeat business.
Keeps customers informed on the status of their order, reconciles errors in a cost-effective manner, and following up to ensure all customers needs are fulfilled.
Acting as liaison between customer and manufacturer, as well as between customer and freight carrier.
NATURE AND SCOPE - Reports directly to Customer Service Supervisor.
This position has no direct reports.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS - Normal office environment where temperature, ventilations and lighting are controlled; Moderate noise level; Working both independently and with others within the department; Regular use of computer and other office equipment; Must meet deadline and accuracy demands which can be stressful; Constant feedback environment in which associates must be open to constructive feedback from multiple sources; Occasional visits to store sites give exposure to extreme temperatures, moving machinery, loud noise and fumes.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS - Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS - Must pass the Drug Test; Must pass the Background Check; Must pass the pre-employment test if applicable.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - 1 year of professional customer service or retail sales experience is preferred
College degree preferred
